Job description
This is a summary of what the job involves to help you decide if you are a good fit. A well-known grocery store is looking for an experienced Sasko bakery counterhand to join their team permanently. You will be responsible for assisting customers and providing high levels of customer service. The ideal candidate will be well-presented, organized, and friendly with a great work ethic.
What you’ll do
This is a list of tasks that you will be responsible for doing on your days at work.
- Informing customers of regular deals or daily specials
- Issue change & receipts
- Process refunds & exchanges
- Assisting with food preparation
- Assist with packaging and displaying bakery items attractively and hygienically
- Maintain a positive attitude by welcoming, greeting, and assisting customers
- Engage with customers, suggesting bakery items, and supporting upselling efforts
- Maintain a clean and organized bakery counter, contributing to an inviting and appealing display
- Address customer inquiries and feedback in a respectful and professional manner
- Help fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Learn the basics of operating cash registers, ensuring precise transaction handling
- Collaborate with the bakery team to restock shelves and ensure a constant supply of freshly baked goods
