Intercare Medfem Hospital (Pty) Ltd situated in Bryanston, Sandton seeks an ambitious, talented, goal-driven, and self-motivated individual to fulfill the role of Unit Manager for Theatre and Ward.

The purpose of the position iscoordinatenate all the functions and activities related to the provision of quality patient care in a Hospital environment, excellent service to doctors, and visitors, and support servicost-effectivelynner, as well as motivating, supporting, and optimizing staff performance and education in order to achieve optimum functioning of the unit.

CRITICAL OUTPUTS

• Conform with Doctors’ requirements/expectations, remaining within the scope of practice as well as being patient advocates
• .Ensure the management of all related nursing services and activities in the unit, according to Intercare objectives, police,s and procedures
• .Maintain effective discipline by Intercare’s Code of Conduct and disciplinary codes
• .Ensure safe and correct use of all equipment
• Monthly monitoring of cost center expenditure against the budget
• Maintain effective relationships with specialists, external bodies, and associations

REQUIREMENTS

• Registered Nurse with SANC
• Post basic qualification in Operating Theatretechniquese essential
• Relevant Management experience of at least 3 years
• At least 5 years of experience in an Operating theatre
• Conflict handling & performance management skills
• Proficient in MS Office
