SASSA SRD Grant Eligibility

SASSA SRD requires that certain documents and requirements be included with your application. All the documents must be with you to ensure your application is accepted quickly.

  • It is essential to have your 13-digit South African barcoded ID number on you.
  • The official will need proof of your application and evidence that an emergency has occurred.
  • You must prove you are not receiving financial or other support from another source.
  • If you have been married or divorced, then you must tell them.
  • It is also necessary to show proof of your disability. Other conditions must be met if you still need an ID when applying.
  • You must provide an affidavit or sworn declaration and proof of your application for a birth certificate or identity card.
  • The temporary identification documents must be submitted.
  • If you’ve ever attended school, you must provide your school certificate and any health clinic cards you may have.
