Description
The main purpose of the job:
- To provide clinical research assistance to the clinical trials team through patient enrollment, consent, data management/CRF file completion, and basic nursing care
Location:
- Parktown – Johannesburg
Key performance areas:
- Receive patients referred by clinicians or clinical trial centres for screening
- Check patient files and details and confirm the next appointment dates
- Assist with referring patients to designated doctors
- Ensure that relevant documentation has been completed i.e. screening request form, patient tracking list
- Liaise with the driver with regards to the collection and their files
- Assist treatment Sister in preparing the treatment room for patients
- Assist with patient infusion and taking vitals such as blood pressure, temperature a,, andd weight or height measurements
- Perform basic housekeeping duties that include cleaning the treatment room, waste disposal, sterilizing equipment
- Provide office support by answering incoming calls, providing information, and/or taking messages as necessary
- Perform general administration duties such as scanning, photocopying,g, and filing
- Assist the team with ad hoc assignments and duties
Required minimum education and training:
- Grade 12
- Certificate in Nursing Assistant
Required minimum work experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience with clinical trial exposure
Professional Body Registration:
- South African Nursing Council (SANC)
