SGS: Learnership Opportunities 2024 / 2025

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for cleaning up the site / workshop after task is completed or at the end of the day which comes first, where the job was carried out and make sure it’s free off all consumables used to perform the job (masking tapes, tins, etc)
  • To adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system
  • To orally report any deviations, irregulateries and non-conformance’s
  • Responsible to perform any other reasonable task assigned by the authorized site supervisor/laboratory manager and regional manager.
  • Perform all field and laboratory work including sampling, calculations and performing test methods accurately.
  • Ensure discipline within his/her assigned department.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Mathematics and Science)
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Be a South African citizen (be able to produce a valid South African ID document)
  • Be between the ages of 18-30
  • Must be currently unemployed
  • Must have no criminal record
  • Must be willing to relocate to Richards Bay

Skills and Competencies:

  • Exceptional Computer Literacy (use of MS Office suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • An affinity for data analysis
  • Strong research skills
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency in completing tasks.
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and high level of initiative
