Requirements :
MBChB/MBBCh. Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the HPCSA. Must have completed community service. Short courses e.g. ACLS, ATLS and Life support strongly recommended. Must have Primaries Part I. After hour duties is a necessity.
Duties :
Provide clinical services and demonstrate academic progression while completing a research dissertation within a four-year contract. Care for all in- and outpatients in the department on a rotational basis. Consult with and receive consultations from all departments of SBAH at Registrar level. Supervise all rotating pre-graduate students, interns, and junior colleagues in clinical practice. Rotate to sub-specialties and facilities accredited by the University of Pretoria.
